casper software package provides Run a live preinstalled system from read-only media, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install casper
casper is installed in your system.
Make ensure the casper package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep casper *
You will get with casper package name, version, architecture and description in a table
